We would like to inform You about how we process Your personal data. We do our best to collect as little personal data from You as possible. What we do collect in the Pantry app is, in summary:

  • Usage data
  • Anonymized user IDs
  • Your user content
  • Crash reports.

We use this to provide the app’s functionality, show ads, send push notifications, and improve the app.

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your data and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.

  • Application means the software program provided by the Company downloaded by You on any electronic device, named "Pantry" or "Pantry - Don’t let them Expire".

It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
  • Third-party Social Media Service refers to any website or any social network website through which a User can log in or create an account to use the Service.
  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
  • You (or "User") means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Our Services

Since Our Services evolve constantly, this document changes from time to time. The information provided herein primarily pertains to the methods We use to analyse the usage and measure the effectiveness of advertising methods and comparable services, especially services by third-party Service Providers. The current third-party Service Providers supplying these services to Us are listed below.

We generally prefer using Service Providers based in the EU for specific services if they can provide the same quality and similar pricing. Many services We use are either not currently available from EU-based Service Providers or the existing Service Providers do not offer acceptable alternatives. For this reason, We use a number of Service Providers based outside the European Union. We take care to ensure that everything is done to achieve an appropriate level of protection of data according to European and national privacy regulations.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

We collect, process and use Personal Information to provide Our Services.

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information. Such Personal Data includes:

  • Anonymized User IDs
  • Device IDs
  • User input

Usage Data

Certain Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Automatically collected data includes:

  • Statistics of User interaction (views, clicks) with ads displayed in the app

For showing ads in the app we use the Service Provider AdMob, a service by Google LLC. Details about data privacy regarding this Service Provider are provided below.

Diagnostic Data

To continually improve the stability and functionality of the App, we use Crashlytics (Google LLC) as Service Provider to collect diagnostic data. The data collected includes:

  • Crash reports
  • Timestamps, number and frequency of errors
  • Version of the installed App
  • Data about the User’s operating system
  • Data about the User’s device

This data gets collected only with the User’s consent. This consent can be revoked any time using the Privacy Settings option in the app’s main menu. Details about data privacy regarding the Service Provider are provided below.

Children’s Privacy

Our app is publicly accessible and not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect data from users who are considered minors under their national legislation.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide our Service: To provide the functionalities of the App We need to save User Input and anonymized User IDs in Our databases.
  • To be able to send push notifications we need to assign device IDs and save them in connection with the User Input.
  • To show ads: Ads will be displayed in small ad banners and can be removed with an in-app purchase.
  • To improve the App: We need to collect and process diagnostic data (crash reports) to improve the App’s stability and functionality.
  • To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your feedback or requests to Us.

Sharing of Your Personal Data

Generally, we do not share Your personal information with third parties. We may share your personal information with Service Providers, solely for the purpose of providing the App’s functionality, or with Your consent.

We have concluded contracts with those Subcontractors that binds them to protect Your personal information and prohibits them from sharing Your personal information with third parties.

Security Measures

We take organisational, contractual and technical security measures according to the state of the art designed to ensure that privacy regulations are complied with and data we process are protected against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised third parties.

Rights of the Data Subjects

Regarding the processing of your personal data, website visitors have certain rights under the GDPR:

Right of Access to Information

You are entitled to a confirmation as to whether your personal data is processed. If this is the case, you have a right to be informed about the nature of this personal data and the information listed in Article 15 of the GDPR.

Right to Rectification and Deletion

You have the right to request that incorrect personal data regarding you is corrected immediately or incomplete personal data is completed, as the case may be. In addition, you have the right to request that personal data regarding you is immediately deleted if one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 of the GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request that processing is restricted if one of the prerequisites stated in Art. 18 of the GDPR applies, e.g. if you objected to processing, for the duration of a possible examination.

Right to Data Portability

In specific cases stated in Art. 20 of the GDPR, you have the right to obtain the personal data regarding you in a structured, common and machine-readable format or request that this data be transmitted to a third party.

Right to Object

If data is collected based on Article 6 (1) S. 1 (f) (processing is required for the purposes of legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process your personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling reasons that outweigh the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right to Appeal to a Supervisory Authority

According to Art. 77 of the GDPR, you have the right to appeal to a supervisory authority if you consider the processing of personal data relating to you as a breach of data protection regulations. The right of appeal may be exercised in particular before a supervisory authority in the member state of your residence, your place of work or the place where the alleged infringement occurred.

Changes to our Privacy Statement

We reserve the right to amend this privacy statement from time to time to ensure it meets current statutory requirements or to ensure it reflects changes to our services, including the introduction of new services. The latest version of our privacy statement shall always be applicable.
